Fibre connection setup with TalkTalk and a Fritzbox

Here you are seeing the interface of a Fritzbox model 3490.

Log into the web interface of the Fritzbox using your password. If you are logging in for the first time, create your password and then log in.

From the side menu choose "Internet" - "Account Information"

As Internet provider choose "other internet service provider" and give your new connection setting a name.

Now it gets a bit tricky. TalkTalk Fibre doesn't require a login, but the Fritzbox wants one when you choose the right setting "Connection to a DSL line".

In order to disable the account information section you need to tick the option "Connecting to an external modem or router" at first.

This changes the "Account Information" field, and gives you the option to say that you don't need it. When now asked "Is account information required?" choose "No".

Then switch back to "Connection to a DSL line" in the option field above, and your choice of not wanting to give the account information will stay intact.

Now click "Connection Settings", and change its parameters to:VLAN-ID = 101DSL ATM Settings: VPI = 0 / VCI = 38Bridged mode - obtain IP address automaticallySome Fritzboxes give you a choice of Annexe settings, if so choose Annexe A.

Confirm and save all your changes, and your connection should be set up.
